During your stay at the Moriah Motel, and dependent on current conditions, you may have the opportunity to fish several of the best trout fisheries. Fish Tales Outfitting and Four Rivers Fishing are the guides that we recommend. The Ruby River, Big Hole River, Beaverhead River and Jefferson River are favorite places to fish. Hunting

Region 3 in SW Montana includes the counties of Broadwater, Gallatin, Park, Madison, Beaverhead, and parts of Deer Lake. Encompassing 18,089 miles and is made up of broad valleys comprised of prairie habitat consisting of grasslands sagebrush and wooded riparian areas rising to high foothills. Big Game hunting is a major draw in SW Montana with approximately 50% of elk harvested. Besides the great elk, SW Montana's fall hunting season includes deer, antelope, goose, duck, mourning dove, Sage Grouse, Sharp-tailed-grouse, hungarian partridge, turkey & partridge
